Controversa was born right after the first lockdown in 2020: a time when doing business live, interacting with people, was definitely impossible.
A year on, the situation has improved somewhat and this has allowed us to create a quite out-of-the-ordinary opportunity to meet with potential clients.
We called it "Un caffè con Controversa" (A coffee with Controversa), the most loved moment of the day by Italians that encapsulates in a few words all the desire for sociability and meeting.
Just a cup of coffee, a short date, to meet in person and get a preview of new products and catalogues. Getting to know each other up close.
September 2nd and 3rd: the first stop was in Rome, as guests of The Hoxton Hotel. We met companies, agencies and brands with whom we had only interacted via email or direct message.
We chose The Hoxton Hotel because we share their concept of an open-house hotel: the lobby and Cugino (Hoxton's restaurant dedicated to breakfast, brunch, tasty lunches and aperitifs) are really open to everyone and are the perfect place for meetings and coffee, even for those not staying at the hotel.
